Reading Response
(Annie’s) Why do we as a society have such a lack of respect for our lands and the environment around us? Not as an entire whole, but as a majority. Why do we feel the need to continue on such a path. We continue to use ridiculous amounts of natural resources while doing close to nothing to give back to our environment. We continue to produce vast amounts of waste, throwing away tons of trash, and continuing to use single use plastic (in my opinion, one of the worst things of all.) We should be protecting our lands, not destroying them. We should be standing up to this giant companies, and boycotting their products especially since they care less about the lands and more about producing and consuming. That's a huge factor with this whole problem all together, producing and consuming way too much. We feel the need to have too much of everything, rather than just using what we need.. and the left overs of what we don't use, and literally thrown away. We waste so much product as a whole. We are so brainwashed as a society. We need to stop listening to these major cooperations, and stop consuming the products they produce. We should buy local instead. Help out the friends and families in our communities. We need to learn to give back and help those in need. We can help by donating items and our time. We need to look towards the future during these times, and we can start by building a better now.
